The refiners fire

What happens when you encounter fire within someone? The kind of fire that reveals your truest most authentic self. The kind of fire that isn’t safe, but it will spark within you all that you have ever desired to be.

What do you want out of life? Do you desire much of the same from day to day? Do you want for everything to go as planned with not obstacles or delays? Sameness equaling safety— often regarded as being responsible. Within in this kind of sameness isn’t stability, within its deceptive comfort lies stagnancy. Where there is stagnancy, there is no growth. Where there is stagnancy, the life force is draining from your body whilst you are lulled to sleep by a false peace.

It is hard denying the hunger that is alive within you, the desire for more— for bigger, for better but it’s sometimes terrifying to admit it’s presence. It’s been safer to keep it quiet. But your soul knows, the God spark within you has sent out a signal with the assurance of its likeness to find you. And it will, it did.

It is no coincidence when we meet people who awaken things within us and lovingly guide us to see portions of ourselves that we are meant to see. To feel things that we are meant to feel. To pursue the life, we were always meant to pursue. This is the beauty of the fire. Don’t be afraid of the fire, get close to it, become a watcher of the fire, gain strength and warmth from the fire. It came to you for a reason.

In these strange times we’ve endured a period where we each walked around with one arm across our chests and the other stuck straight out in front of us to keep others at a distance. It is often in our brokenness and the depth of our pain that we discover our own capacity for love. Now is no longer the time for childish guarded actions and trauma responses. In this age of Aquarius, it is time for open hearted soul encounters and deeply guided actions, anchored in love. It is a time of honesty and allowing the fire to burn away anything that doesn’t resonate with where Spirit wants to lead you in the future. Now is not a time to hold back or to wear a mask but to burst forth with excitement and in anticipation of the greatest chapters of all our lives to unfold, as unlikely as that may seem.

We have arrived at a time such as this for reasons we may not always understand. But we are here nonetheless to bring to this world the gifts that only we can give. I feel deeply honored to have recognized this for myself and I hope that you will too dear reader, that you will not turn away from the fire but allow it to refine you. Allow the fire to alter the way you see your memories, pains and sorrows. In doing so you will see your future and your blessings in a much brighter light. I cannot express how great of a tool the refiners fire is when it comes to you in one form or another. Allow it to change you.
